These thymus-seeding progenitors (TSPs) undergo stepwise differentiation to generate immunocompetent T cells. I contributed to the i dentification and characterization of human TSP1 and TSP2 subsets. I discovered that cellular crosstalk-mediated activation of tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2) is important to expand human T cell precursors. I contributed to the understanding of the roles of TRIB1-3 in malignant hematopoiesis. Despite being recognized as a myeloid oncogene, I discovered that TRIB2 has a tumor suppressor function in the development of NOTCH1-driven T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
